CONCORD, Massachusetts, May 2002- The leading data management and business intelligence publication – DM Review Magazine – has contracted with the Gantry Group to conduct its acclaimed Annual Membership Survey which results in the DM Review 100 awards for the 100 top vendors. The results of the survey itself are published in DM Review’s September issue and the Dm Review 100 vendor list, in the December issue.

This year, the research will be conducted through two separate online surveys, each sent to a random sample of DM Review opt-in subscribers. The first survey is focused on the issues, trends, needs, and preferences of DM Review subscribers; the second survey is focused on soliciting reader feedback on over 200 vendors in the data management market place. The second survey is the basis for the Annual Readership awards, which recognize the leading vendor in each of eleven product categories.

The DM Review 100, also generated by the second survey, ranks the top 100 IT software and hardware vendors. Gantry Group’s ranking methodology, developed expressly for this survey, uses product quality, market share, and customer satisfaction to generate a weighted, objective ranking based on survey participant’s opinions. The DM Review 100 is a key issue for the magazine and is eagerly awaited by vendors and readers alike. The DM Review 100 is a prestigious award that is used by IT customers year-round as a key decision aid in the vendor selection process. The DM Review Readership awards, similar to the DM Review 100, is a listing of the single top vendor in each product category based solely on customers’ perceived product quality.
